One of our most popular options for a wedding ceremony is the patio of
Cragun's Legacy Clubhouse
overlooking the manicured grounds of our Cragun's Legacy Golf Courses.
Your reception could take place just inside in the Legacy Pavilion. The
Pavilion also provides great back-up in case of inclement weather. If a
beach wedding has always been your dream, an outdoor ceremony under our
swaying willows with Gull Lake as your backdrop is perfect setting for
your wedding ceremony. There is easy access right into our Main Lodge or
our charming Hungry Gull building for your reception (and again these
facilities offer back-up in case of weather issues).
Cragun's specializes in Destination Wedding Weekends. Our
on-site
coordinator works with each bride and groom to customize a package with
activities to fit the season. For a spring, summer or fall wedding, your
guests will love a weekend getaway at Cragun's complete with a Beach BBQ
for the Groom's Dinner. An informal golf outing or a mini-retreat for
the bridal party at Cragun's Gull Lake Spa is also a great way to get
everyone involved, having fun and relaxing prior to the big event! We
also offer a variety of rental items from audio visual equipment to
dance floors to a horse drawn carriage.
Prices and availability may vary. Ceremony sites will depend on the
season and size of the wedding. A choice of venue for your wedding and
reception will be either Cragun's Resort or the Legacy Golf Course
facility - we are not able to offer an event that would include some
activities at Cragun's Resort and others at the Legacy.

Winter Weddings |
|
|
May through October is traditionally considered the busiest time of year
for weddings. But more couples are finding that winter can add unique
warmth to a special day. An "off-season" wedding offers an opportunity
for you to put together a distinctly charming celebration with many
creative options. You can also expect a higher ratio of guest attendance
by providing guests a social event to attend in the quieter months of
the year. Off-season weddings also offer savings on
venue rentals -
approximately one-third off on Saturday dates during the months of
January, February, March and November (excluding traditional Holiday
weekends). Winter weddings can offer shorter lead times and more
opportunity to negotiate prices with vendors such as photographers and
DJ's who may be sitting idle at this time of year. A perfect winter
wedding will feature warm décor, intimate candlelight and an inviting
fireplace. Some of the creative ideas you could include: |

- Fireworks in the snow
- Bonfire with hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting
- Natural pine boughs and twigs for décor (lower your flower
budget!)

Seasonal beverages like mulled wine, hot apple cider, and minty hot

Snowmobiling, ice skating, dog sled rides, ice fishing tournament, and
cross country skiing
